Italy is the country where the paradigm of Person‑Centered Medicine, the Person‑Centered Clinical Method, and the person‑centered health paradigm developed by Prof. Giuseppe R. Brera originated and were taught within the postgraduate programs of Ambrosiana University’s Milan School of Medicine.
In 2000, all postgraduate programs of the Milan School of Medicine formally adopted medical education grounded in the Person‑Centered Clinical Method
In 2005, Ambrosiana University instituted the world’s first Department of Person‑Centered Medicine.
In 2011, the WHO invited Prof. Brera to illustrate the University's pioneering role in the teaching of Person‑Centered Medicine, which was initiated in 1998. At this institution, the teaching quality procedures were developed and formally certified for the first time in 2003
In 2010, the University founded the Person‑Centered Medicine International Academy, launching the first international academic program in Person‑Centered Medicine. In the same year, Prof. Brera founded the first international open‑access journal in the field, which today serves as the official organ of the WSPCM and of the World Health Committee
Since 1995, Ambrosiana University has promoted national and international conferences ( in link last) aimed at supporting the transition from the obsolete mechanistic‑deterministic implicit paradigm of contemporary Medicine to the explicit indeterministic paradigm formulated by Prof. Giuseppe R.
